Fall Season - Halloween

Halloween is just two days away and were are all ready around here.  We spent the month of October searching for just the right pumpkin, getting our costume ready and decorating the house for all the visitors to come on Halloween night.  As for the pumpkins, we're still working on the "art" and will have to post later as to what they will end up as.  For this year, since I can still decided on the costume, Magali will be Madeline.  She plays the part very well and has her trusted dog by her side.  We will be going to the Halloween Parade on Saturday and the Halloween Parade part Deux on Sunday.  Trick or Treating will also take place this year but I have a feeling that our six trusty neighbors will be the only ones we will visit.  Here are a few pictures from our pumpkin patch experience.

Our Camping Experience

We decided to take a mini vacation and head up to Portland for a camping week.  Our plan was to start in Astoria, enjoy the beach, then head down to Portland then home.  After the first few days, we decided that Magali and I could stay two more weeks while Joel traveled around the country.  He would then head back to Portland and we could drive home together.  What a fabulous idea.  In total, Magali and I stayed camping for 23 days.  We got to explore Portland and the Oregon Coast as well as a few days in Seattle.  She did great and really enjoyed spending time with me and the outdoors.  Here are a couple pictures of our trip.

FINALLY...some time to blog.

Since I'm waiting for our pictures to upload onto Shutterfly, I thought I would blog a little.

Since our last posting...we've gone to the Dr.'s, when to Portland/Seattle and did a brief visit to the pumpkin patch.  Our 15 Month Check up stat's are not too bad.  For Head and Height, were in the 50th percentile.  As for weight, we're at 17 lbs, 2 oz. As everyone seems to say...she's on her own curve and doing fine.  Things she likes to do include:  walking/running, walking up and down the stairs, playing outside with all of the little boys, riding the bicycle, dance, put her shoes and coat on, hung her baby, meow at the cat (in a very dramatic way), and wave at every living person she sees.

Our weekly schedule is filled up with French club, gymnastics, library story time in English and French and our moms club activities.  We barely have time to sit and watch TV.  She has discovered Sesame Street and Curious George but they don't hold her attention very long.  Her favorite thing to watch is football!

We're now moving into the fall season and with the change of weather comes the change of wardrobe.  Magali is in 18 months clothing but still in size 4 shoes.  We'll get there one day.

So there's your update on Magali.

It's been a while.

It's been almost four months since the last post. All my fault. Joel has motivated me to get back into it. We've move the computer downstairs and I no longer "log-on" early in the morning. That means I don't waste my time on the computer like I used to but I no longer post. So, with a lot of motivation from Joel, I will start posting again. Not to entertain anyone...since I think I'm the only one reading this, but to keep a journal of our lives. Maybe some day someone will look back and laugh at all the silly things we did. I've got to catch up to the present to the next couple posts will be short, sweet and to the point!

It's been such a long time...

I just haven't had the time to post any information...so here is a brief breakdown.

In November we had the pleasure of Christening Magali at our Catholic Church. Jim and Stacey are her Godparents are we are grateful for such good people to be part of her live and the raise her with the values we both have.

Christmas was great and Magali enjoyed all of her new toys and clothes. She finally grew into her 6 months clothes and mommy and daddy got to go shopping. She also had another Dr.'s apt and she was right on track. She's was still in the low percentiles but eating like a teenager and doing great with solids. We also took a week long trip to TX and "looked" around to see if this was a location we would want to move to in case it was right for us. We also looked at a French school for Magali and were very impressed. We took some time and visited lots of National Parks as well.

February was our month to go to France. All went well and Magali did great in the Airport. What a long trip but Joel enjoyed himself and loved all of the architecture. We are already planning all the things we want to do on our next trip there. Magali did get her first tooth in Paris and that caused her to have a very long trip home. We all slept well when we got home.

March was finally quite a quite month. We went no where and I've been spending my time taking care of the household. Magali did have another Dr. apt and her size has now become an issue. We are going to go see a Dr. at Children's because something came up on her growth hormone test. She also has a problem with her kidneys and is taking medication but that will clear up in a couple of months....so, we are still in 6 month clothing and wearing lots of dressed since pants seem to slip right off of her. So, we'll keep everyone updated.

Other than that, we are well.
